Saran Wrap? I use it on my 125 gal in the back near my hanging filters, you barely notice it and my eels tap it and turn away they don't even try to get out anymore.

Ik it's a huge disappointment when unnecessary fish deaths occur to stuff like that. He was my first poly too.

I know how it feels, i had a ropefish sneak out of the tank a few weeks back. The thing did a tour of my entire office before it left the room...( i saw the slither marks on the tiles) seems ropefish need to be renamed strolefish

Lol but when I was switching my Bichir from my 125 to my 220 I did accidentally drop it and they can slither on the floor like snakes. When you combine that with the fact that they can gulp air I assume they can survive out of the water for a lot longer than other fish.
