My heater malfunctioned at some point last night and killed some of my fish water was at 90 this morning. Killed my 2 inch dovii 7 inch sun catfish. And about 100 convict fry. I didn't know what to do so I took out the heater and put ice cubes in and now I have a breeding pair of convict a sun catfish and a baby oscar that are not looking to well.

90 should not have killed the fish. while warm, its not deadly warm unless low oxygen condition.

I don't think I would've added ice cubes, I would do a water change & check nit & ammonia levels,,, what size tank are they housed in

It's 60 gallon. And they were all at the top. Almost like they were sticking the top of their heads out of the water.

I'd check your parameters, though 90 is high it isn't that high. But in spite of that I'm sorry for your loss that always stinks!
