i was looking in my tank the yester day (as i do every day) and just watching how all my fish were doing and they all seemed fine, no ich, no spots on the fins or the body of the fish, all eyes were clear, i figured all was well. when i looked in my tank today i saw that my ram and discus were both dead and they had ich on em..

i checked my water lvls and all was fine, only thing i have done to the tank latley was adding some live plants but that was 6 days ago. any idea on what went wrong. (my ph in that tank is about 6.2)

Maybe you should take out the plants? Did you add the water from the store that you got the plants from?

nope i did not add the water from the store.

the plants i added are just Anacharis, do you think they are the cause?

no, plants wouldn't be the cause of the spread of ich from what I gather. Discus and rams are both pretty sensitive fish to water quality, so something may be off with your water.

Well.. you never know the ich spores might have been clinging onto the plants... Its a good practice to rinse the plants before placing them in the tank. Change some water now and add a general medication to the tank just in case...

And don't forget to dechlorinate it.
