I shouldn't have come back to this thread...I think I'm going to be sick now.

Between airlines losing or destroying boxes, inclement weather, or poor packing, importing fish isn't for the feint of heart. I've raced home plenty of times with bags leaking in the trunk of my car :( .

its everything airlines losing , destroying boxes, inclement weather, and poor packing. but most of the time is poor packing

Yike!

WHAT??? THE??? Is this over the years, or one massive shipment that went really really wrong. That is incredibly sad! But I suppose that is one of the perils associated with importing. Just out of curiosity, who is financially responsible? Do the shippers replace them? These look like proof of death photos the shippers would be required to see in order to evaluate what the heck happened and replace the order...? But wow...that is a lot of dead fish :(

the policy is same as if you would order from an online vendor. they would give you a credit on the dead fish for your next order.

Wow thats rough. Something few people think about when Complaining about cost of fish. Im curious as to what percentage of fish dont survive these long trips. Kinda tough to see all those gorgeous fish dead but its a sobering reminder to appreciate what we can get
