Only economical way I can think of is just buy a pair of Industrial earplugs and plug them in before going to bed.
Although I would be late for school most of the time since my alarm fails to wake me up too.

thanks for the help i wanted to try a filter sock but don't they need to hang , also i have alot of submerged media

For some reasson the sound really does not bother me as long as it is not a clatter type sound.

honestly with 4 lvls full of media and the filter socks right on top of it all you wouldnt need to hang it or rather there prob would be no room thats why it will reduce or completely stop any water dripping noise from all those filter media right under it though im not too sure since i dont use the drip plate style sump. maybe someone more experienced in this style sump can help you further in better details.
