Deadliest Catch Bow fishing

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was thinking about bow fishing....seen vids of people catching monster alligators and alligator gars on youtube...!

you can't bow fish in the ocean. but you can do it in most lakes and rivers. i am saving up for my reel for my bow so i can do some real bow fishing. besides the best bow fishing is in the deep south. for the gator gars and bowfin. also the starter fish for bowfisher's is the common carp, and the channel catfish. hope this helps...

you CAN bowfish, spear, harpoon in the ocean...they shoot redfish, rays, hogfish, groupers, kingfish, wahoos and many other fish you just have to know the limits and what permits you may need...

do a search on bowfishing as in the last month there have been atleast 3 other threads on it and i am not retyping the same info again...

:iagree: dont know the specifics, but this sounds correct to me. I used to do some bow fishing when I lived back in Georgia, fun at time, but just not my thing. I would rather take a rod and reel and do battle. :D

I used to bow fish, but now I like to release the native fish I ceatch. I would still bow fish for Silver Carp on the Illinois River. Looks like a blast, shooting fish in the air.

Also I have a viedo of bowfishing for Lemon Shark & Stingray, that looks like a good time too.
