I got a sweet deal on a 120gal $100 for the tank and a wet dry filter. The tank is painted green and I want to scrape it off any ideas on the best way to do this? Also I have never used a w/d before any advise would be great. I pick it up on monday I'm so pumped to have a MFK worthy tank. My big tank now is a 65

Yep it's glass and the paint is on the outside . Thanks for the input. 3 hrs and counting till I pick it up. I'm sure I'll have questions on the wet dry once I get it . The w/d is for a 180 so I'm sure it will handle the load. What are the general thoughts on w/d systems like, don't like, ups, and down sides. I'm a little weary cause this is new to me. Thanks for the thoughts
Wet dry filters are the most efficient in my experience. You still need to find out how much water the filter is turning over. I find that "rated for an xxx gallon tank" usually isn't very accurate.
I picked it up, man that thing is not light. The pump is a rio 2100 (692 gph) I"ve got a 3/4" hole drilled in the tank that is sealed it's 5" down from the top can I use this for the W/D as the return or to supply the filter? I'm figuring out how this thing goes together. Thanks for the help.
