Ok. It is official I have caught the MFK BUG!!! Since buying my 90 gallon more than a month ago and getting my stock up and running, I find myself already looking at even bigger tanks. Today I went and looked at a brand new tank at my LFS because they were having an early spring sale. They had a couple that cought my eye, especially a 210 gallon Oceanic 72x24. The tank has two built in overflo's and is already drilled. It comes with a 140 gallon sump, and a 1200 gph pump. The sticker on this bad boy was 1299. I'd like to put my Texas, and RD in their along with a dat, dovi pair or jag pair, some type of gar, festae, a trimac, and a big pleco. They also had a 150 48x24 that came with a 90 gallon sump and a 1000gph pump for 899.
What would you guys go for cheaper and cut the stock down??? If I got the 210 do you think it would be overstocked with the list I want? I'd like to get some good comments and feedback from others with XL and XXL tanks. Pictures of similar sized tanks and setups would be great too.

Could I house a full sized lima shovelnose in either of those tanks for life?

Go big or go home! Get the 210! lol...Did ya check on craigslist? I've seen some good sized ones in my area for cheap. Maybe you can find a deal

id go used for cheaper, but if not, thats really not a bad price.
Check craigslist as stated above, thats where I just got my 220.

Im on cragslist every day bro. I almost picked up a 46 bow as my new community tank 2 weeks ago for 200 on there with a brand new 205, and emp 400.

Thats also not including the stand, that is the catch, the stand is 459 dollars. But if I buy the tank I get the tank, the sump and the pump and all media, the stand, and basically anything I buy at the time for 15% off.

allright, well sometimes stuff comes up on kijiji.com as well as hoobly.com, so check there too. I found the best success by hitting up the major cities near me I was willing to drive to with want ads on craigslist, as I got quite a few replies.

I am lucky I live in a city of 300,000+ so it's easy to find stuff here there's loads of stuff on there right now just nothing im interested in. And know that I think of it that 210 is a 6x3 it looked awful wide compared to that 150 and I know it was a 4x2, so basically all my stocking questions I can probably sort out and be fine just need to figure out which ones first. They should all have plenty of turning room. Do you thing I could possibly throw an aro in there too?

You sure the 210 isnt 6 by 2 bc you stated both now that it was a 6 by 2 (more likely) but then later said a 6 by 3.
Also what type of aro, if a silver, I would go with an 8 footer if possible

For some dumb reason I didn't check the dimensions I was a little more stuck on the price sticker. I could have the money for it soon and I have the space, my parents think its a waste of money even though I live alone and have a job. O well its what makes me happy. I know that the 150 I looked at was a 4x2 becasue the the dimensions were on the price tag where as on the 210 the dimensions were not, but...it looked wider than the 150 so I am guessing maybe it could be a 6x3, but its probably my eyes playing tricks on me looking at such a big tank anyways that it is most likely a 7x2. I'll find out soon.

Silver Aro.
