Dealing fish a snail infestation

Hello; The picture is not clear. The general shape suggests a ramshorn type snail. May I suggest you do a web search for aquarium snails. I have done this and generally find sites with pictures and descriptions.
 
Hello; If red ramshorn, they are the type I have kept for many decades. I have noted that they do not generally cause damage to plants untill growing to about nickle size. Even then the damage is slight. My solution has been to either remove the larger ones to my QT or I keep some plires handy and crush them and feed them to my fish.

These snails are a part of the natural fish environment and a positive benefit in a tank. They will scour the tank for left over food from excess feeding. The population can be kept in check if overfeeding is avoided.

I also have found them to be very interesting to watch.
