What size tank is he in? Tankmates?

What are you water parameters? (Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate)

What are you trying to feed it?

Get these 3 answers and we will be able to help ya out a bit better.. you were a bit vague in asking what could cause it.. It's usually from stress and poor water quality.

Water is as follows Am=0,nitrite=0,nitrate=0-5ppm,temp80,he is in a 65gal quarinten tank(i have a 300 waiting)Ive fed frozen bllodwoorms, mysis shrimp, live small redworms, live tubiflex, cut up cocktail shrimp, sinking carnivore pellets,i think thats it.One night he went after the mysis really well but has ignored them since. He does nible at the tubifex worms and red worms Ill try feeder guppies tonight.on a positive note he has been more active

yea.... change your location ;) also, try putting a lil bit of salt in it and turn up the heat to around 86 and make sure to keep the lights off to keep stress down
