This is what happens to my ray, it' swimming backwards and going round the circle as if he is itchy. I didn't know what to do, so I only change the water everyday.
And now he is not doing that anymore.
By the way what is the medicine for gill flukes?
There is no information regarding sickness and how to treat it in this forum.

Ye I do remove the barbs . Just got home from work and thrown some blood worm in as the big fish won't entertain it and she's jumped on ever single worm .. Maybe the little girl was hungry even tho she's not thin in anyway I will keep my eye on her

That is weird looks like she has an itchy bottom

Now I know why rays rarely move backwards they look a lot more graceful going forwards

Best wishes to you both she is a cute little girl

I think she has a digestive problem, she could be trying to take a crap, I have seen my rays do this right before they poo

Turkeyboy I think u just hit the nail on the head I been watching her tonight closely and that's what I thought . She is a lot more active tonight then normal as if she's trying to do summit but not able too .. I just hope what ever it his she pulls through it

Hi if you think she is trying to go but cant feed her really up then do a massive water change usually does the trick

Funnily enough ...now you mention it mine do seem to take a dump after a big water change. I wonder if any foods are better than others....maybe feed some earth worms on prunes and then feed them to the rays...maybe an oily fish could help?
