  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree with everything Rmorse says in this thread, but check also out Watain and Carpathian Forest. Two good bands.
I got infracted last time I posted a Black metal vid, hope these are more family friendly.

I've seen em three times in the past couple years of living in Orlando. Now that I'm back in Jacksonville my show options are basically nil. I'll be making the drive back down for Ensiferum next month though.
i seen them at summer slaughter very good show and dying fetus

i listen to
necrophagist seen them live
devourment
skin less
the faceless
bloodbath
dying fetus seen them live
decrepit birth
there are like a bunch more

just started venturing out of more popular classic metal (i'm including like Sabbath and Maiden, even Metallic in there) and "nu-metal" (i'm including anything from bands such as slipknot, korn, hed p.e., static-x, etc...that part of the spectrum) and I've been listening to so many new metal and "metal" genres that I haven't gotten too into just one type. I did get into Amon Amarth and saw them in concert, so that's death. I could list some of the other stuff I've been listening to, but it's not really DEATH metal. I've been mostly getting into progressive stuff like Indricothere and the like, which actually has some death or at least death-like songs.

For great nu-metal, check out Nothingface.

cool, thanks. will do. as for the question i asked in the other thread, indricothere plays some thrash-like stuff, too (aka prog/tech thrash)...haven't listened to too much that was recommended yet.

the weird thing for me is i coming from liking Psychobilly, which is mostly Toungue-in-Cheek, IDK how to take some "extreme" metal

getting off topic...sry (at least I'm not calling SOAD death metal :D :P)

talk death metal not nu metal

Yet you didn't say anything about anyone else's post? Metal is metal...You say death metal.

Ok. Soooo, Melodeath, grind, doomdeath, etc. I guarantee you could name any band, and I could keep naming other bands that sound similar, and keep going until I get down to nu-metal.
