Very much south..
Got this Hoplias ( I believe Intermedius ) a forthnight ago. Always acted normal, was even competing for floating pellets.

Today, when I arrived from work I noticed him swmming somewhat erractically, with stressed breathing, and bumping into the tank's side.

At night he was belly up, with inflated belly. Tried to revive him, to maintain him upright and afloat, but to no avail.

I opened him up to see whether he had swallowed something that could have caused this, but found nothing.

Although a newcomer to my tanks, I was very fond of this Wolf.

It is really saddening. I was so thrilled to have this guy around the others, increasingly more bold. And all of a sudden...
