  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thats astonishing on many levels...

The first picture made me sad, but after reading the rest of the thread, Im glad to know hes doing alot better!

Heres a Q- Does that fishstore really have a Death Row area?

Or did you just call it death row for what it was obviously?

Wow! nice rescue! I hope he recovers well for you! A few months ago I got 2 silvers dollars for free at my lfs that where missing all of their fins and sitting upside down in the tank, I took them home without much hope of them surviving, but now a few months later they are swimming correctly and all there fins have grown back!

Hi everyone. I apologize for the delay in getting Troopers update posted. Life happened, as it does and sucks right now

My grandma "Oma" is in the hospital after a broken hip. The hip surgery has been postponed since Tuesday of last week when she broke it. Many complications are arising and at this point they have told us there is not much else they can do than send her home and let her pass. I’m just having a hard time dealing with this and with the negligence of the doctors that are getting paid big bucks. They overlooked some major issues that could have been prevented... So angry right now.

Anyhow, Trooper seems to be getting his strength back, a little each day. He now rams the chunk of blood worms that floats around. ( he doesn’t care as much when I defrost them for him and then just pour them). His eyes are still clearing up a little each day too. The little white puffs on the tips of his fins are gone now. I treated with Jungle Labs Parasite Clear, since it had both Prazi and Metro in it. Round two comes tonight after work. I no longer see the strings of slime coming from his gills, so that makes me happy. We lost the two orange babies, and took them back and got one orange and one red/blue one, both bigger and much healthier looking. They are helping trooper “hunt”. Buddy (the little white one) has also been improving with the treatments. He is eating more than he ever did before and I no longer see the “pinch” on his forehead. Trooper has also started showing his colors more lately, especially after a water change. I pour the water in very slowly, but still creates a bit of a current. He will glide from side to side in the tank, to go under the “waterfall”. The others just hover in the corner, but he likes it! His face is starting to keep the yellow on it, with the black stripe, while the rest of the body is still dark. He does show the red and blue thru a little better than the first few days. He’s eating, swimming and greeting me at the front of the tank. When I sit at the computer he stays as close to me as he can. He is really starting to show his personality a lot more and I can’t wait to see what the next week holds for him. My LFS gets their brine shrimp in on Thursday, so we will be picking up more then for him.

I will post some pics of him after lunch, I forgot the camera cable at home

good luck... =)

Awesome rescue mamapuff! Trooper looks great! So sorry to hear about your grandma though:(

As promised, here is Trooper and company. He still goes from the dark to light to dark but, I will take that any day :)
