next up is tor sinensis, found along the Li river, I couldn't save this one. The fisherman would catch the fry along the edges of the river, at less than 0.5 cm big, sell them to fish farmers that raise them up for food.

this one was bigger wild caught one found in the trap along hundreds of other types of fish destined for food table.

What do you suspect the cause of death to be,lack of oxygen during the trip?
 
Im sure the cost of shipping those large fish would horrify me Nevermind what those cost. man that sucks in a lot of ways.
 
sharp spines, ruptured bag, fish too big, trip too long

Yeah that's definitely a recipe for disaster.Sorry for you and for such rare fish.

Here is the last shipment. One of the reason is that these fish travel from remote parts of China, to the major cities with large airports, then after settling down for a few days, and get on planes and travel to another near by country, then gets shipped out to the US. The trip would make most human travelers feel sick, let alone a fish.
