Deathcurl?

Hey everyone.

My leo has been acting a bit strange lately.. 30-50% of the time its flipping its disk like in the video when resting.. I’m starting to think it might be the start of a deathcurl..? But he’s still active and eating like a little pig.. I have had rays for about 3 years now and I haven’t seen anything like this before.. Also, he is breathing very fast because he was swiming up the glass before i made the video..

Any thoughts?

What are your water parameters?

Introduce any new tankmates? Current tankmates?

Whats your water schedule like? How much do you change out? How often?

Dident get any good shoots.. He keeps moving around (hes hungry)..

0, 0 and nitrate 40. No tankmates.

No Anchor worms or Argulus.

50% water change once a week, but im gonna make one now.

Yhea i know, thats why i dont understand his behaviour.. The temp is 27..

What are you feeding?

I have been feeding him mussels.. But I think I will stop with that now.. He chews em up into little pieces.. The water didn’t smell to good.. A bit like bad shellfish.. I think the mussels might have been the problem..
