Debating between Fahaka, Cross River and Mbu.

I just located one for $1000 Canadian. Is it worth it?

well my lfs has located it for me, i wont be able to see the fish myself until it arrives at the big al's near me... the manager has owner what he claims to be 4 cross rivers that he paid top dollar for. He said the same guy that he bought from has 1 right now. I talk to him again and he said he would be able to do it for 600 likely. I think it would be more wise for me to keep the fahaka. I only have one 120 and my fahaka is doing great inside of it.

Wow, I saw one of those for sale in the Portland area one time for $129. But $600? Seems like too much to pay for a fish that is pretty much the same except it has dots instead of lines.

The Fahaka should be fine in your tank... but yea the CRP are impossible to find. Be careful what the LFS say though, the CRP are often incorrectly labeled Fahakas as juvies.

^ thats exactly what i was thinking... nothing would be worst than getting rid of your current fahaka, to buy what you think is a cross river for $600 and having it turn out to be a Fahaka once mature...

thats basically what i told the lfs... so w.e i decided i'm going to keep the fahaka
