Hey, I have a 125g 6ft long tank. Currently I have pebble substrate 3 pieces of volcanic rock and 1 driftwood. Stocking is EBJD, Green Terror, Tiger Oscar, and a Green Phantom Pleco. So, I’ve been debating getting rid of the driftwood and the Green Phantom Pleco. Since mid July, GPP just stays in a rock, never comes out. At 7”, I should get decent money for it. Plus, why have the Bioload if you never see it, even though I see no long string poop anywhere. I like the looks, but it’s never out and extra Biolad for no reason!

To be honest I would get rid of the green terror too. Made the experience myself with green terror + oscar. Everything was fine for a couple of weeks/months. And one day the green terror decided to go for the oscar… sold him 2 days later..

In both tank that I have saums in they're sub dominates to jds and oscars. Youre going to have fish try to take the top spot in any cichlid community as they grow. It doesn't matter the type of fish. As the grow and gain confidence they're going to try to be the dominant male at some point. They'll either succeed and be the new top of the food chain or fail and get back in line. If this happens and the fish is persistent to the point of causing damage, then you should consider removing. I wouldn't remove the terror or any of the cichlids til then if you're happy with them. The problem may never present itself.

As far as the green phantom goes.
I've actually been contemplating an all pleco tank. Then I think about how the ones I've got now only show me their tail fins occasionally and really just dirty up the tank. The green phantom is a cool one.
If you're having to ask us if you should keep it then you should probably move it along to somebody wanting one and make you some dollars

I would also get rid of the Oscar!
I personally would keep the pleco haha.

Theos.dad Theos.dad I’m currently in the process of setting up a pleco community tank with L95’s being the centrepiece pleco bc they are out and about so much!

I just disposed of almost all of my adult BN plecos because I was tired of the bio load. I have one adult male in my 220g that I haven't been able to catch because it hides under the giant rock.
I would rehome the pleco, oscar and green terror. Probably the ebjd too as it's a hybrid. That's just me though.
Wow, you now have an empty 125g aquarium that needs stocking ideas!!!

I have to look those up. I love the look and the way the pleco moves. Very powerful swimmer that really move with authority when they gain a little confidence. The l201 will forever be one of my favorites. I've always seen the black with white dots but recently seen an adult that was black with white and yellow dots flat blew me away. Maybe one day I'll get one going myself. Do you have a log going for yours? Id love to see it

Lol electric blue jack dempseys arent hybrids .It's a recessive gene. Just a regular old jack dempsey color morph

I also have a group of 5 or 6 L201’s lol some have white/yellow spots, some white, and some yellow.

no log going yet, just trying to organize my stock first, downsizing some unwanted fish

Hope to see one up soon. I'll end up with 201 eventually for our community tank. The smaller plecos are quite appealing. Now I gotta check out the active pleco you mentioned.
