Debating, should I get rid of it?

Lol electric blue jack dempseys arent hybrids .It's a recessive gene. Just a regular old jack dempsey color morph
I remember when they were first hitting the market and being mesmerized by their beauty.

They're an awfully pretty fish for sure. Getting one with strong enough genes to make it to adulthood and be a decent size is the hard part. I've got one thats 5.5 inches or so now thats looking promising. Acts exactly like a regular jack dempsey in every way. Has been on track with growth and is very competitive. Decent looking fish other than a slightly deformed jaw. (These are notorious for deformed jaws and beacked faces)

I also have 2 that are terrible specimens. Neither of them are over 2.5 inches after having them for several months. One has bulging eyes with bad vision and beaked face and the other eats just enough to survive and rarely comes out of hiding. No treatments I've used have been beneficial in any way. In all honestly they should probably both be euthanized. If they ever go completely off food it'll probably happen

Sure, if you don't enjoy the pleco much, sell it, they do fetch a nice price. I would agree with the others I might change the cichlids up too, or at least remove one, the oscar will make enough bioload by itself to fill that tank when it's full grown. I'd probably rehome the oscar and keep your others, maybe add some smaller 5-6" max cichlids in it's place.
