Wow very nice fire eel... love your Knife.. perfect markings.. looks alot like mine was when he was a baby.. i always thought eels need a sandy substrate so they can bury themselves.. i don't know if this is a must... but you should check it out.. mine is always under the sand with his little head popped out.. great collection Yanker...love the little baby pacu..

Thanks Liz!! Sand for eels is optional, barebottoms are boring but will work!

Thanks!

Thanks guys... yes the pacus will be added to a 300 gallon stock tank at MA when they get to big.

Giant Gourami? Alex, you know that won't work out. They are aggressive as heck, not to mention big. You should pm piggy67 and inquire about his, sometime BEFORE you get the Gourami. I imagine that the G would be very hard to give away once it is grown out of your tank.

Hey,,,----
Aj.. I've kept lots of Giant Gouramis before.
I never had any agression problems with any of them. I grew them full sized and some Even lived with tetras. They can and will be aggressive if kept with other aggressive fish... but if kept with peacuful fish in my experience they will be fine.
