Cool thread. There is an awful lot of pictures, but it was kinda cool to look at so many bichir pictures in the same place. Even though there are so many, it probably took me less than 5 minutes to cruise through them all and choose my vote.

To those who complain about this, nothing is stopping you from taking the time to create a thread that you think would be better than this one.

The opinions about these flood of pics are very different .... for me it works well. I love it to see so much bichirs captured on pics - regardless of the quality (there are many blurry pics).
It's a game, it's fun. Most members choosing a pic to vote will not elect the pic by its photographic or artistic quality than their personal favourite bichir - by the way the same situation as in POTM (yes, for me it seems that certain fish are preferred in choice) ....

The most important fact here: HAVE FUN!

Thanks for the support. I completely agreed with you 100% that having fun is the key in any contest. I try to make it fun and keep it low key without all the crazy restrictions.

This is overwhelming . . . Too many to choose from and very time consuming. Even if one is willing to dedicate this much time, you lose track of what you have looked at. By the time I get to number 60, I've lost track of the earlier pics that I looked at. trim it back to no more than 30. One would need a photographic memory in order to really judge this many photos.

Well, your point was well taken and I did response to this in post #13. It probably would've been good to keep it to 50 photos but heck it's the last month so why not compile everything. You're voting for a picture; not electing a senator, governor, or President. There is no need to stress out on which you should vote.

i did not stress out over it. i chose not to vote because it wouldn't be an accurate "election." it was not meant to be a personal insult. it was constructive criticism. sorry. . .
