Well in the 3 weeks since I moved the fish from a 30gal to a 330gal, it would appear that they have jumped from the 6" mark to several over the 8" mark. I knew their growth would explode again, but I had no clue this was possible. I guess they really are feasting on the rosy reds and comets...

please tell me you're not feeding them FEEDERFISH???!!!! OMG, you're just ASKING for a disease.
 
it's not so much that I'm feeding them, as much as they cross over from the "safe" side into dangerous territory (and maybe they make it back. Somewhat of a Darwinian approach...).

This first group of tilapia I don't plan on harvesting. Rather, they are kind of an experiment. If it seems they prefer the feeders over the pellet, then I may start breeding feeders to eliminate those disease concerns. I would think that by the 3rd gen hatch that any chance of those diseases are eliminated...
