I'm still alive, pond process has slowed as other projects became more exciting. Also I'm still trying to work out the pond liner situation. The stuff that was free was only 10' wide. but was 60' long. I just don't have faith in trying to join it to make the 20
'x30' that I need.
Instead of working on the pond I took where my fence line used to be and moved it back about 15'. The original fence line was based on all the growth of the old property line and it was apparently just easier to not remove the crap. I borrowed the family bobcat and tore it all apart. I almost doubled my backyard space and it just looks huge now.
As for the pond I cleaned up all the edges and go the rim level all the way around. You can now get a good idea where the water line will end up. I will have to dig into the ledge that is about a foot just to put stone into it, but again I will wait to see exactly what I'm going to do before I get in to deep. Now for the pics, including our new miniature pinscher. As if one wasn't enough.
*To answer the last question, I'm shooting to stock it with a few Koi. Likely wont be any plants for a while. Also things look a lot better, we finally go some rain and it helped smooth the edges.
