Decided on an Elongatus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was thinking, maybe there was to much current in my spilo tank, thats why she always hides... The canister kinda acts as a powerhead... So you think they both need the same current? I was thinking the elong would need more..

Oh, and what kind of elong is this? Arent there like red breasted and black mask?

those are regular elong, but to soon to say because he still look stress and new to new home. give him a few months.

So let me get this right, because I'm new to Elongs... There are "regulars" "red breasted" and "black"?

you will rarely see red breast. black mask are often see and regular elong as well.

Okay, so after a few months if he has no black hes regular, and if he has black he is a black mask?

Ak, I love comments and critisicm.. Don't hold back, nor what I said ment to be rude.. I appreciate your posts and help..

Anyways, things are going fine and I always provide the best home for my fish, don't worry.

Thanks.

Sorry I took it that way...It's just a very bold statement to make-Especially when one is asking about advise in the same thread-

But anyhow man,
Sticky is giving you some good advise-So I wont post much here-But feel free to ask me any ?'s that you might have-----

(I always push the site, cause it's simply the best...Check out OPEFE.com for more piranha info also)

Its totally fine. Don't worry about it.. I have some work to do to get him eating.. I dont think he would eat floating pellets so Im going to try sinking ones.

If you have them-try them then-
It wouldn't be uncommon for a piranha to take a floating pellet.

i would try to plant up the walls of the tank keep it from hitting the walls... mine would dart right into the glass everytime i came into the room.... just my opinion
