Hello everyone,

I've been into pbass for a long time, and finally decided to redo my 225 and grab some. I picked up five juvies that I plan to house in here till they reach 20 inches or so, then they are going into a 400g acrylic.

Few questions, Can I get some opinions on what sp these are? I have a few 6" synos in there to clean up the bottom and some clown loaches I plan on moving out soon.. How else can I keep all this crap off the sandbed?

Without further ado, here are pics. What do you guys think of the tank?

Thank you very much sir, thats the exact criticism I am looking for. Ill watch for these guys once they get a little larger, and if they start to pick at him at all, I have another tank I can move him into. I really hope they are orinos :D

That's weird cause my Rio metas don't like bichirs either.

nice setup. I see you have a senegal bichir in there, becareful! That bichir will hunt your fish one by one, ever since the size of your fishes seems to fit in that bichir mouth. I suggest remove the bichir into other tank. Those mess on your sands are inevitable, and the quicker way to get rid of them is by doing siphon. But as long as you dont have that massive bioload in your tank, then there is nothing to worry about. Sooner or later those poop will disolve in water, and get vacummed in your filter.

I can move him but I think they are a little to big to fit in his mouth.

Any more ideas on what species these are.

Look Orino to me And Welcome!!!:)

X2 - Those are Orino's - Nice pick ups! They do seem a lil small and that bicher may be able to eat them right now.. It's a risk to keep them together while the cichla are that small. I have (4) 6"-8" Orino's with a 11" bicher now in one of my tanks and they get along fine but I also feed very well and regularly. I'd remove the bicher for a few weeks and grow your cichla out a bit more just to be safe.

Welcome to the cichla club bro!!
