Its after thanksgiving Rich, what did you decide? :D

Right now I have a male rainbow cichlid and 10 tiger barbs... 5 regular, and 5 albino.

Working on getting a female for the male tiger barb. No pleco yet, but will get one in a few weeks.

Well, this is done with my droid phone, so not so great... but here's a pic. I have a vid also that actually shows the male rainbow cichlid (he would not make an appearance while I was taking the photos), but I don't have a youtube account or anything, so I guess I have to make one first before I can paste a link to it here.

Looking good, I like the aquascape. I recently decided I'm going to sell off most of my stock and go with Grammodes. Not exactly sure when I'm going to do this, but within the next week I'll be unloading it all.

The only thing is that the tiger barbs aren't having the effect I was expecting. They are pretty much staying at the bottom of the tank, just like the rainbow cichlid is. So now, I am considering adding another species that will actually occupy the top level of the tank. I think it's a bit too small for hatchets. So it'll have to be something else.

Thats wierd usually TBs are very active darting all over the place. Hmmm maybe try a school of tetra? Got some rummynose in one of my smaller tanks that are pretty nice and active

Yeah, I thought it was weird too. And they are very active. I mean, they swim all around constantly... just low to the sand level. Don't think I've ever seen that from tiger barbs, but there ya go.

I may try some rummynose... or something. But on the other hand, I don't want to overstock the tank... so I dunno... I'll see how it plays out.
