Decisions, decisions.

Slow growing they are, which would take care of a 75g being too small for a pair for at least a couple of yrs. And aggressive is one of the qualities he's looking for.

They're conspecific aggressive, not fun "glass banging" aggressive. They just like to beat the crap out of each other when you're not looking.

How would you plan on pairing them off? Have you ever raised this species and gotten a successful pair out of it, or are you just going by what you've read?

Dont want to hijack this thread with a debate about Argentea. I've raised one from 2" to 5.5 over about a 6 month span, awesome fish. Never had a pair before.

A Trimac is WAY WAY WAY to big for a 75 gallon! even by itself!

How large do you think Trimacs get? Are you trying to tell me a 180 is minimum for a single Trimac? That's the sense I'm getting, considering the conviction behind your "WAY, WAY, WAY too small!" comment, in which case I have to call shinanigans on you.
