Decorating or w/e my tank..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I vote for a combo of sand and pea gravel. Nice contrast of shapes and textures and looks really natural. Having different textures and sizes of rocks and substrate give a the look of erosion, which I like a lot.

Sand it is b/c thats what I got today. YaY me. My bf has some big river rock so I might add that in and see how it looks first. Then later on I ll add the other rocks I prob. use the tree stumps for the time being. =) Thanks that gave me ideas to mix those around. Yah I am going to do another Afican tank, this time I am gonna look for more rare africans possibly. I am bringing a list to the lfs in hope he can get them in =)

I'm using a combination of sand and fine black gravel which works out very well since it gives you the benefit of a nice natural looking substrate (sand) and the ease of cleaning that gravel provides....... just my 2 cents

That was my suggestion to. To mix it. Some pea gravel and sand. That would look really natural.
