I haven't been active very much lately...with good reason. My buddies that were taken away from me last month due to a power outage...may they all rest in peace.:( :(

And a couple vids to show just how great they all were. I know many people remember them and how special they were to me.

My arowana and peacock bass all sadly passed on overnight while I was sleeping over a month ago. I have been so ashamed and torn up about it that I have steered clear of MFK and other sites for some time. I still like to log on and see how everyone is doing. Basically, A storm ripped through and took out the power, causing the pump to loose its prime and my air filter was out for at least 4-5 hours. They all passed on due to no filtration or aeration. This next video has become one of the highest rated arowana videos on Youtube and I attribute that to the great characteristics and friendly behaviors of my old buddies. May they all rest in peace. Sorry I have put so many pics and vids...but maybe someone would like to see them all.

ugh! so sorry to hear!

OOOh Tankyou, what a loss, what a shame! It could have happened ( has happened to me ) to anyone of us...no reason to be ashamed Man!! Wellcome back!

Sorry for your lose Tankyou, but you have nothing to be ashamed about. You fish were big and healthy but it just so happened that a power out knocked them off. Nothing you could do, esp since you were asleep. Sure if you were awake and just watched them die slowly, then there would be something to be ashamed about. You just had some really bad luck, just goes to show how much we rely on electricity

Thank you to everyone for your kind remarks. I tell you what it was a very difficult day when this all occured.
I walked into the room expecting the see the arows skimming the surface and the pbass in a small pack all starring straight at me and wagging their tails as usual. Instead they were all lifeless at the bottom of the tank. I was shocked, disgusted, and then angry at myself. I should have checked on them when the storms hit...you know? I did not know the power was out, but still I should have checked because I did wake up to the thunder outside but did not notice the power was out. Both arows, and all four pbass were gone. The ripsaw catfish was fine and not affected. The three plecos were fine as well.
They were all very healthy fish.
My tank will never be the same so now the entire setup is being sold. I still have the smaller 220 gallon with its inhabitants including the black arow and one silver :both healthy and doing great. The outage somehow did not affect this tank. But I really miss my pbass and twin arows they were great fish and I swear they recognized me every time I went to their tank.

Again many thanks for all the comments and I also send my condolences for any pets any of you have lost as well.
Respectfully as always,
Jeremy
