Hmmm, and also remember that after the La Cieba expedition, they went back and the collection point was polluted and no more fishes. So I can imagine that all the Freddy's in the hobby are from the pair that they brought back, meaning many generations of inbreeding. I have noticed that inbreeding (usually F4 +) causes the bars/stripes to be "unspecieslike" for lack of better word.
