deformed turtle?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It looks to be a fully grown adult so I would have to say no it will never be completely normal. Given the proper diet it may gradually flatten out a bit but it will take a pretty long time. This doesn't necessarily mean the tortoise is unhealthy, just that it could use some better care. If you're interested in purchasing I would say check it out in person and check for other health signs like clear eyes and nose, clean vent, strong walk/gait, good food response etc and go from there.

Yeah thats ridiculously high for a malnourished greek tortoise! I bought my captive bred sulcata for 65$ and I see baby greeks for $100 all the time!

Oop! Just realized you're in Canada! Ok, so 275 isn't ridiculous but I'd still go with the baby tortoise.

Eh, Canadian price is not that different from the American price tags. I find them to be quite similar when it come to reptiles... now that I think about it -- I think ours are cheaper than yours. :naughty:

Keep shopping around for price fish333, I am pretty sure there is a more reasonable price out there; if not, the demand for them must be far and few in Canada.

Go to a local herp expo, I think there is quite a few showing up in Ontario. The last Russian Tortoise, which was about three years ago, was about $150.

I am assuming you want a Russian Tort anyway.
