Would it help by putting a dehumidifier in the fish room? It's kinda humid down there.
I was thinking of leaving it run 24/7, and have it plumbed to the drain.

I have one in my "fish basement", there is a noticeable difference and takes away some of the fish smell. I usually just throw the water collected back into one of the tanks.

i use one and have it plumbed to my sewer drain. It makes a huge difference. I no longer have that damp fishroom smell down there.

Absolutely,I have one in my fishroom.Just cover all the tanks and it will work great.

I'm guessing the non covered tank's will evaporate much faster after I add the dehumidifier. Is that what your saying?

I take it they are ok to run 24/7 without getting to hot or overheating.
I will definitally plumb it to the drain. Or else it would probably need dumped a couple times a day. LOL.:grinno:

I have one too, just keep in mind the power consumption of the unit is quite high when run 24/7...mine equals all my 14 tanks' filters combined (366 watts I think).

Dehumidifiers commonly create quite a bit of heat. I was able to heat my garage fishroom in the winter months with nothing but two dehumidifiers and pumps in the water...
