Not sure but can you turn off notifications in settings and check a box so you do not get notifications for that thread. But I agree with Pops it may not be of use to you but you never know someone else maybe be able to use it later.

^^^^^ All of this - plus new information surfaces everday....studies are constantly going on and a new post from a new member in an old thread can be priceless if no one else has knowledge of it
