I was notified that I had several posts deleted, all from the Offical Pike Cichlid Photo Shoot thread. All I can guess is that there's some sort of unwritten rule that the thread is for pictures only, no comments? Just let me know what's up, so I won't step on any toes...

If you didn't post a pic, it was probably deleted. Some photo threads delete all non-pic including posts to keep the thread 100% pure pics. Nothing personal

MFK Big Brother - Deleted Posts??? I had 8 pm's this a.m. from MFK that various posts were automatically deleted - FOR WHAT???? It really irritates me that someone is editing/censoring member posts ~ what's the deal??? None of the posts were offensive or vile! I thought members are entitled to their opinions, etc......... How about an admin. explanation?

Anyone else had this problem?

Same here, some Mods have gotten a little heavy handed lately with the delete button. Nothing inflamatory, just my opinion. If you don't want expert opinions on this site, then just let us know. Ken

When a thread originator asks for a thread to be deleted, all posts to that thread are also deleted. Same occurs in a flame-fest thread. When the thread becomes too derailed, it's deleted and all posts become deleted, too.

Any expert advise should merit its own thread. And, we've sticky'd threads with such advise. When all is said and done, if the worst thing that's happened in a day is that a few posts were deleted from a fish board, well...

...you've had a pretty good day.

If the opening post states "don't post without a pic", why be surprised that a comment-only post is deleted.

Start your own thread for a discussion according to your own guidelines.
