I think you guys should delete posts that quote other peoples posts, with pictures. I hate seeing the same pictures over and over because people keep quoting them :irked:

I do. ...as time permits. But, I can't catch them all.

In threads with several different members posting several different pictures, quoting someone's picture is a the best way to show what picture you are commenting on.

not really; you could refer to them by username. quoting posts with pictures clogs up the threads

I usually delete the quoted pics when I see a 20" post just to say; "Awesome fish dude!!"

I agree. That is a post worth deleting.

As I stated in the OTHER thread. It appears that P-P is revamping the thread since it rose to over 20 pages. Once members complain that it takes too long to see the pics in a "Photo Shoot" thread, the non-pic posts are thinned out to cut down on clutter. I PM'd P-P to get confirmation and adjustment updates.

I thank you for the explanation,i now understand my pm's.:headbang2

I can understand trying to keep a picture thread pure by eliminating irrelevant material but oft times there is great information added about a fish that was just posted; care, husbandy, ID, collection area, etc. It's a shame that we may lose some of this reference material because the post simply does not have a picture.

I didn't see any reference material missing from that thread. I didn't read all of the deleted posts, but did hit quite a few. PM Peanut to see whats up

Geez, calm down ya'll!!! I checked every post that I deleted (took me over three hours last night...OY!!) and there wasn't anything in there that most of us didn't already know.

It was a WHOLE bunch of ooo's and aaah's. Which is fine, I want you to continue to post in there and comment about the pictures. I just wanted to condense all the clutter that was in there already to make it look more 'unified'. There were over 40 + pages of posts, and after I deleted them all, there were only 19 pages or so with pictures. Now its easier to see all the pictures that have currently been posted, and you don't have to cruise 40 freaking pages to find pictures...lol. Most of us label the pikes as we post them anyway, or we know what they are already...;).

So keep posting, I won't thin it out again for a long, long time. :D
