It also depends on whether or not its Farm Raised or WC. Farm raised ones are bred to be more silvery while WC ones retain their beige/tan and green color

Really...? I got both WC and CB and once settled in the base color looks the same. Lol!

WC or CB got nothing to do with base color. It's the genetics of the fish and environment.
