Your del is gorgeous! :D Do you mind me asking how much you paid for him? I'm just trying to get an idea how much the dels sell for.

My petco has never had bichirs, my petsmart did though, that's where I bought my scrawny Sen bichir, he is growing a lot now though, I think he is loving the frozen food and pellet diet! :)

He was like $27. He is so cool I just hope he is getting food. I have these two phyco pictus cats that eat everything and are really fast. I am thinking I need to get rid of them or one. What do you guys think? Will my Del get enough to eat? I am working on hand feeding him with tweezers right now. I wish my stupid marble cray fish would start pumping put babies so I have live food.

Ps congrats probassfisher I am glad you got the job see you soon.

If you can obviosly seethat there is no food left over, then that's a problem, you could try feeding a food that spread all over the tank, such as blood worms or you could separate the lil guy in another tank, or divide him from the others some how. That's the thing with Polys, generally one of the slower fish to the food, have very bad eye sight.

I have a 10gal I could use for a grow out but it's being used as a hospital tank for a uaru that got beat up too many times before I did something.

I will keep tying new things till the hospital tank is free. I think he is getting some food just not enough. The pictus cats are too good at cleaning up.

typically not the best combo to have pictus with young bichirs unless its a big tank and you can spread food out well, once your del gets bigger and starts eating larger pellets and whatnot that the pictus cant fit in their mouths they will be fine together

Ok I am worried now. I managed to get bloodworms right in front of his face. He was hiding away from the others. He did not eat them.

I will move him to the 10gal as
Soon as I can. Till then I will keep trying to shove food in his face.
