delhezi disappeared

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i wont get another delhezi unless i can find one thats approx 8 inches or so.my senegal and ornate are approx 8-9 inches and the only delhezi i can find in cornwall is a 3 inch specimen that in my opinion is way too small to go in with mine.so to answer your question spoofsjsc, yes i still want a delhezi(cant find a suitable one) and no,the fire eel hasnt taken the place of the delhezi, but,it has given me something else to think about.i found the delhezi by the way.my tank had a funny smell(stinking :yuck: ) and i just got home from work, looked in the tank and saw a tail sticking out of my large jewel internal.i got some tongs and pulled and out came a swollen, stinking delhezi.christ did it smell.my fire eel hides in the filter so i keep looking in the filter to make sure hes ok and thats how i found the delhezi.the filters coming out soon as im looking for another external to go with my eheim pro 11 2028.the filter must have a heater in the filter.any suggestions????

I figured. IMO, its not very easy to fill heart spaces emptied by bichirs! :D

My palmas polli was sucked in by my external filter last week. my fault. i forgot to put back the tube's filter (the small net-like thing attached to the end of the inlet tube)... get it?

IF you need an external filter with a heater, you can try building a sump. you can put everything in there (heaters, UVC's, etc.).

thanks spoofsjsc.sorry to hear about your loss :( i think im going to get another eheim.maybe the internal heater version of the 2028.if another decent sized delhezi comes along then i'll get one

the 3 inch delhezi is at trimar in the uk.its £24.95.it has lovely markings and was 1 of 3.i bought 1,1 went up country somewhere, and the other 1 is still for sale.get it,power feed it and in 5-6 months,it will be a fat 8 incher no probs.mine would eat prawns, jmc pellets, hikari gold, lance fish.good eaters and very, very active.swim around all day long.if it was bigger,i'd snap it up.

This is good advertising. :D

get an endi.dels are lovely, but an endi would be nice for a change :naughty:

..and i did! :)

got my second endli last night. I think she's a sister of my other endli. ( they came form the same shop.) i actually chose the first one over her back when i bought it a few months ago. Little did i know that i'll end up having both! they were about the same size back then. Now, the 'older one' is 3-4 in longer than this. it barely grew! (but I plan to change that...)

nice endli!
