Delhezi with split tail

I bought this delhezi with a split tail from my local fish store. At the store, he was kept with some tankmates that nipped his tail. From your experience, will it heal back up? Thank you.

Yes, my very first. He was in quarantine for a month in a 10 gallon. Now, he is in a 125 gallon filled halfway.
