Delhezi's: Wanted Info On

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good deal. Yeah they've had him for quite awhile. So I'm sure he's healthy. I can't wait to get my hands on the little guy and get some weight on him!:D

For now as he is under 2 inches he will go into a 10G by himself (rather than into the 55 with the other 5 inchers) for power feeding, so that he does not end up an exspensive snack!

yeah virginia needs more dels, my friend and i have been looking for em for awhile, i still havent ever seen one in real life.

agree haven't seen anything but senegals and ropes

Filtration schmiltration its all about water changes! Anyway, care for dels is pretty much the same as sens, very similar species. The do grow slower than sens but you are probably right, most LFS feed the minimum to keep fish healthy in order to control costs.

i dont know if thats a good deal. 34$? for an inch long delhezi? well forgive me i dont really know what price ranges you have there but here in the philippines, we can get an inch long delhezi for less than 100 pesos and that's like less than 2$.
yeah. delhezis are so fun to watch. try endli too.:)

But without proper filtration/water movement, how are the aerobic bacteria supposed to thrive?

Neither filtration nor a water change is more important than the other; together they are EQUALLY part of a well maintained aquarium and a healthy system.

So weekly changes of 50% are always good right? Even with good filtration?

For me, 50% weekly is bare minimum, but I prefer to go 70% weekly if the size of the fish allows, even with choice filtration.
