Weight to me isnt the issue, after all lots of people have water beds in apparments. My concern would be "the cracks" and previous water damage. A trough would be awsome to build, but ugly, unless you put like little flowers on it!! If you had a proch or deck area that didn't get much sun, you could put it there. Grab some of those titanium heaters for the winter and call it a day.

I digress, Canada gets really cold.

Ya canada can get really cold around here it can get down around -30 C below or -22 F for my american friends. What I am going to do is make a frame that is about an inch to 2 inches wider then the tank and stand, which I will use to make a catch basin I am stacking 2 tanks so it will not be able to catch the intire 180 but it will buy me time if something starts to go wrong.
Ideally I am ready to move from this place but the problem with that is I can't afford a house at this point in time so that part sucks.
