He is still alive, and is in fact a he. Has the red convict fins with blue speckling in the soft rays of his unpaired fins, indicative of a male. He actually (unsurprisingly) got a lot of convict features. He's pretty much just a septemfasciata shaped, mango colored convict. Idly shows barring (absent in septemfasciata), has blue speckles in the fins (absent in septemfasciata), possesses the first bar (absent in all septemfasciata), and again has the red fins, though males of both species have reddish fins. As stated before he additionally has the misbarring from his dad's bloodline. He even hates tetras, another trait that comes from his dad's side. The only thing that sets him apart is his kinda dull mango yellow/orange base coloration, his VERY tall almost circular body, and his... tricolored eyes??
Pictures don't do justice how weirdly saturated his colors are. Definitely going to be a monster when he's bigger. Given his weird inbetween shape I'm wondering if he'll get more of a bullet shaped head or a pointy convict shaped one. So far looking more on the bullet side, maybe he'll just look like a really weird sajica. I'll probably give him his own 55.

He is officially hitting "puberty" or whatever fish go through, as he is flaring at everything and chasing things around, occasionally doing little dances while in threat coloration. He is additionally starting to get the blue iridescence in his fins from his mother.

tannins don't show it well but he is turning purple and his belly is blue. has blue eyes too. Only nicoya aspect of him is the barring, fin color, and shape.
also, he ate 3 buenos aires this week.

He is starting to explode in growth. He is definitely starting to show a weird and almost perfect mix of both parents, his shape, barring, and fin coloration is nicoya convict, but his body coloration and eyes are septemfasciata. For a convict I'd say at least. He has grown about an inch, maybe an inch and a half in the last month of being in the 125. About 3.5" right now. He definitely looks like he has a lot of room for growth in terms of girth and musculature.
