Anyone able to advise how fast these things grow? I see a lot in the 3inch + range demanding high prices locally, so I picked up some small ones that I can actually afford. Unfortunately they are too small to add to my display as they will just be food. Curious how long it takes these to get any size on them, mine are currently around 1". Even 2" would probably be enough for them to manage in the display.

I bought a bunch from PetSmart at around 2-2.5" size. Fed well I say it took few months to get 3.5-4" size.
Thanks, hopefully mine can put an inch on within a couple months, then they will be safe for the big tank.
Got my first batch that were in the range of 2.5-3.5 inches. Expensive and they really haven't grown a whole lot. Maybe an inch in 2 years.
My batch that I got from petsmart 1 year ago are in the same tank and they are nearing the size of the first batch, but not exceeding. I can still pick out my original batch minus 1 fairly easily out of 15 total.
