Denison Barbs/Rose line shark as dithers?

I grabbed a dozen of these guys today. Lots of local stores selling small ones 1 to 1.5" for around $8 ea. I floated the bag in the 180 and realized they are a little too small to go in there just yet, so I have them in a 20g with some tiny ebjd's.

Anyone know what the growth rate of the Denison's is like? Even half an inch growth would probably make them suitable for the 180 as most of the residents in there are less than 2-2.5".

I see them on sale at petsmart all the time for $7. i had 9 of them in a 150 with a big midas and they didnt nip eachother and were too fast and big to be bothered. keep in mind they were around 4-5 inches at that time.
