rhaphs are very under rated. if i didnt have an armatus, i would have a school of rhaphs and tats in my big tank.

My thoughts EXACTLY......

Even when I got my Armatus I still said I'd rather have a shoal then just a single specimen.

Especially after realizing how poorly Armatus do in a community.......

ive been debating for a long time, if i should sell my armatus so i can have a comm tank. its a real shame he needs the whole tank to himself.

just think... a 450 gal with a few rhaphs, tats, black aro, leos,

A few? You could house a few black aros..... As far as the Tats and Rhaphs I'd say between 6-10 of each.....

I wouldn't stop there though.... I'd add Odoes as well...... Stay in the same ball park size wise.... And a few Bicuda... It would be the wickedest Characin community yet.

My Rhaph still isn't a foot and a half yet and I've had the thing for quite a bit longer than you've had Fang..... And we both know how fast Tats grow once they hit 10 inches.....

i dont think i could... it would be hard to find him a big home, plus i would prob kick myself afterwards...

I just love these fish. Are they even available that much in the U.S.? I haven't really seen them for sale online or in a lfs.
