I had an angelfish die about 6 weeks ago, which was paired with another angel. Since it's death, the other angel has been "sulking"... It hides beneath plants, it runs into the tank walls if I walk by the tank, and whenever I try to feed the tank it swims off and hides or slams into the sides of the tank trying to get away. Is there anything I can do to help this fish? Should I isolate it for awhile? It is the largest fish in the tank and no one ever messes with her. She's over 4 years old as well.

Fish do sulk i had a pair of guppys do it once it will get over it if you get another angel for a new pair

If they were a long term bonded pair the loss of its partner is going to be hard to overcome.Keep the tank area as quiet as possible and avoid sudden moves to avoid stressing it.
My female angel pretty much just laid down and died when the mae died so its rough but its possible you can pull it through.

My Jag has been sulking too, was beaten up by breeding convicts but was fine. Removed the convicts, then he got smashed by a peacock. Removed the peacock, now all he does is hide out. Poor Jag, only 3''. Hope he comes good.
Definately not in your imagination, emotional little buggers they are. Guess that's why we love em though.

I do love my fish, but I hate seeing my angel slam herself into the glass whenever I walk up to feed the tank. If it takes me any less than 30 seconds to walk past my 55, she freaks out and slams into the glass repeatedly in an effort to escape from me. She only eats if I dump food in, shut off ALL lights and leave quickly and quietly. I'm going to try to get another angel this weekend. Hopefully I can have it out of my QT before the other kills itself.
