I agree with Hristo. Especially last shoot is great for mobile background and for hangin on the wall!
I want to look at it every day!

Wow , I cant help but notice the amazing photo quality and water quality in every picture. I wish my water was that CRISPY lol. Very nice work.

jeff, i just finished enjoying this thread from the beginning. thanks for sharing the growth and development of your little (and big) devils!

fantastic shots! did you use your diy-bouncebox for all these? i'm assuming you did, except for the jumper shot.

have you experimented with a side fill-flash? that should prove interesting. B-)

Most were with the rain gutter. The last set was with an ac-strobe in the canopy activated by a bounced flash over the tank.
I took a piece of the left over gutter 11" long and stuck it in the oven on a cookie sheet till it flattened out and molded a big bounce card out of it that attaches to my flash. Works great for kid shots and bugs too!
I haven't had much luck with fill flash from the front of the tank, never could get the angle right to stop reflections off the glass so I gave up. Tried it from the side of the tank a few times with an old flash but couldn't get it balanced right. Might try it again since I can adjust the power on my new flash, had it for 10 months now, just haven't tried using it for fill yet.

DIY vinyl bounce card:

I had the oven on 250F to flatten it out and kept an eye on it. Boiling water was enough to form the ends. I cut a block of wood the same size as the flash head so I wouldn't get water in the flash or get it too hot from molding the vinyl around it.

DIY vinyl bounce card

So simple. so brilliant! Love the devil eyeball shot btw.

The strap is nylon with a couple of velcro tabs sewn in, superglued to the vinyl. Also a strip of velcro on the inside of the card, I have a strip of velcro wrapped around the flash head, makes it easy to attach different stuff.
