Frank,I'm with you with this guy but it's really not worth the bother.
Dan and myself made comments that were in no way offensive and as usual he attacks with some hard to read,immature gangster talk bull crap.
It's not worth him putting us in the position that a mod may feel a ban is needed.You can't get any sense out of this guy anyway,you would find conversation with a dead guppy more productive.
Probably best to ignore the fool and let him carry on mixing pure strains with catch location and muddying the waters of this corner of the hobby even more than it is already.

Bastardfish, just post this stuff in the hybrid section and nobody will give you any grief. Your fish are very good looking and obviously well cared for. What you are doing by crossing the different collection points is seen by many as creating the next flower horn variety. There's no reason to needlessly fight over this, unless we are trying to spike another rap battle.

I am not bothered in the slightest if the op or anyone else hates my biffa, I like him and that's all that matters to me. My original argument with the op was the term STRAIN to claim a new strain the fish has to be significantly different to the original and afew people posted fish up claiming they were when they weren't, all they had where half finished projects, and selling the fry at that stage will only contaminat available stock for the people wanting natural varietys. As far as the op goes I think I will have to swallow my words and admit he has created a new strain, I don't think anyone could pass these fish of as anything but Diablo biffa's. Weather that's right or wrong is a whole new debate.

The real problem is simply claiming a perhaps, understudied fish as a pure species. It's all about book keeping for a lot of us. If that's simply not in your realm of interest, then it should be stated or entitled/as a bifasciatum based fish. In essence, the fish is as hybrid, and shouldn't be marketed as anything other than that.

It's still 100% Bifasciatus no other blood so you take that fish to a scientist they tell you it's pure Bifasciatus
Now they might be like yup sorry it's Bifasciatus it's a new color variant lol because they are but sure won't come back telling you it's a hybrid. I posted the parents to prove it also before a few of you guys who care to talk on a person rather than fish got the post removed due to derailing it. as you continue to do with this one. Mixing fish from known catch location and selling on as your own strain is not my definition of good fish keeping.Its just adding to the pool of unrecognisable crap.
