When your dealing with reptiles, cheapest isn't always best. If people always went with the cheapest, way more people who shouldn't would keep monitors or burms etc... And with something like caimans, when one species is 'tamer' or smaller I would def pay a bit extra for that
Yeah you got a link or some pics? I'm curious how they look...caiman to me aren't all that attractive when large anyway, like the croc version of pitbulls with those heads.
i dont have a link sry. it was a specimen for sale about 3 or 4 months ago. was over 3 feet. they were cute young but they are beyond ugly when they are big
there is some. not the ones i saw, and those look slightly better but i dunno. they just dont look right.
side note, its a temp sexed female at 4 yo and 5ft. Female diamonds according to the guy that makes them are only supposed to max at 4 ft maybe alittle more. hmmmm, 5ft in 4 years.......
i know what they are. ive done the research. im just sayin i find it hard to believe that 2 animals whose females and males get quite a bit larger than 4' and 6' respectivly, could produce an animals that only achieves those lengths. I love the animal and im not dissing the guy but im just sayin i find it hard to believe.
personally, I like the diamond and would get one if I could (all crocs, boas, pythons, hots, scorpions, and most spiders are illegal where I live) but get whatever caiman will work best for you
Hmm it looks more spec than yacare...I wonder if it's growth rate has slowed to adult levels at 5'? Of course they keep growing but I'd hope it's slowed by now, otherwise it will zip right past the 6' mark and keep going.
