i got my now wife a pricess cut 3 stone. tech 9 stones but....
gl man. a nice catherdral 3 stone. gives them a nice glow and looks large
oh and cut is important. gives it a good shimmer.
also u have to take in account ur gf hands.
too big of ring is gonna look gaudy, too small embarrissing. but if she loves you she wont care.

go for a simple, classic cut. hey i bet she won't look at the ring that much but concentrate more on what you're saying ;)

that might be true at the moment. but it wont be true when she gotta show the rings to other girls

Tiffany's is the way to go. At least when you bend over in their stores, they funnel champagne down your throat. I know last time I was at their 5th Ave store I had at least 6 glasses while I sat down with my woman :(

Take her fishing for Cichla! Reel in the ring. That should give you a pass for all your future fishing trips! :D

What if a Cichla actually takes it? lol

dangerous stuff. Just make it look like you're reeling in the ring. Would't it be creative to say "Will you be the catch of life?" instead of the worned out line "Will you marry me?".......

Tiffany's ??? that is deff not the place to go to buy solitary rock... because you will pay for the same spec of rock at 2X the price... but you will get that nice blue box.. i will only buy their designer jewelery....

First thing you do buying a rock is to check the who grade the rock. its best to pick rock graded by GIA. They are more preferred than other cert. in the US.

Buying Diamonds is like buying a brick of gold... they go in value... they are a worth investment..

Another thing to think about is... will the store allow you upgrade down the road...

Ahhhh I was under the impression we were talking finished jewlery. As far as solitary stones, we have family friends in the industry and they have always treated us well in that category. But as far as paying a price and purchasing a finished product, tough to beat Tiffany's.

actually tiffanys cost a freakin fortune. Unless buying something they designed tiffany is NOT the way to go unless ur made of money
